At Temple Christian College our passion is that all students complete their secondary schooling with a very real sense of achievement, of hope and destiny for their future, empowered with the learning, skills and confidence to pursue all that God has in store for them in life. Year 11 & 12 students have the ability to follow a number of different pathways (SACE, ATAR and VET) as they journey through their senior years. To assist students in their selection process, Temple offers a programme of Course Counselling involving students, parents, subject teachers and course counsellors.
Year 11 & 12
From Year 10 we offer a programme of preparation in Semester Two for the selection of courses in Stages One and Two of the South Australian Achievement of Education (SACE). Within subjects students are advised of options for SACE studies and courses beyond Stage Two of the SACE. In addition, In Stage One and Stage Two of the SACE studies, subject choice and achievement is carefully monitored and there is an on-going counselling programme for all Students. During this time, parents are encouraged to discuss their child’s progress and achievements through the Assistant Principal Curriculum.
Temple Christian College offers a full range of pre-requisite subjects, exam support and preparation for students seeking an academic pathway through the Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR).
For students preferring to complete their schooling with minimal to no examinations, Temple offers a full range of specialist subjects to select from.
Through tertiary education and training providers, Temple enables students to participate in Vocational Education and Training (VET) units whilst completing their senior years. We also have a number of in-school VET opportunities within our Music Technology, Design & Technology and Home Economics subjects, as well as Fitness and Music Technology for senior students.
