Every year at Temple Christian College, we are delighted to host and present a number of extra curricular events and activities which encourage students to become active participants in the broader school community and grow outside the classroom environment.
Listed below are just some of the different types of events and extra curricular opportunities held here at the Paralowie Campus that students can get envolved in:
Music, Dance & Drama Performances
Evening performances are a great way to showcase the growing talents of each of the students participating in music, dance, drama and production. Starting from Year 7 and going all the way through to Year 12, students at Temple Christian College have the opportunity to participate in a number of Performing Arts events such as: music showcases, twilight concerts, drama performances, including a bi-annual whole of school musical, and dance showcases.
Open Evening
Open Evening at Temple is an annual event held during Term 1 of each school year. Community is a very important aspect of life here at the school and our goal for Open Evening is that every person who attends experiences a very real sense of the family spirit. Offering guided tours by one of our Temple students, the Open Evening programme is full of interactive displays, live performances and presentations that showcase school life at Temple Christian College. The images featured within the gallery below were taken during the 2019 Open Evening presentation.
Orientation Day
In Term 4 of each year, Temple Christian College hosts its annual Orientation Day for all new students and their families going into Years 7 & 8. All students attending have a fun morning participating in activities, meeting their teachers and making new friends, while their parents attend an information session followed by a morning tea.
Meet the Care Group Teacher and BBQ for New Families
The annual Year 7 Meet the Care Group Teacher and BBQ Evening is held during Term 1 of each school year. Designed to give families the opportunity to gather and connect with each other, it also provides parents and guardians new to the Temple community the opportunity to meet the Care Group Teacher and ensure their child’s smooth transition into high school.
Presentation Evening
The highlight of every school year, Presentation Evening is a compulsory event held during the last week of the school calendar. A night of thanksgiving, worship and celebration, the schedule of award presentations are broken up with a host of items and performances from students across each year level.
