Instrumental/vocal lessons are a great way for your child to develop their musical skills, as well as strengthen their confidence, organisation and ability to work with others. All students at Temple Christian College Paralowie Campus have access to a Music Tuition Program that coordinates private lessons during the school week.
Instrumental & Vocal Program
All Year 7’s will have the opportunity to learn an orchestral instrument at no cost.
Year 7 students wishing to enrol in lessons for other instruments outside of the regular Year 7 Music Program can complete the Year 7 Music Instrumental Tuition Agreement Form.
Students in Year 8 and above are strongly encouraged to enrol in lessons on any of the following instruments:
- Flute, Clarinet, Oboe and Saxophone
- Trumpet, Trombone, Euphonium and French Horn
- Violin, Viola, Cello and Double Bass
- Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar and Electric Bass
- Piano / Keyboards, Drums
Instrumental lessons usually take place on a half hour rotation basis during the school day. Students are excused from class in order to attend a scheduled lesson. They are required to return to their appropriate class immediately after the instrumental lesson. Senior students are encouraged to have their lessons during a study period or lunchtime.
All instrumental staff are private instrumental teachers who will provide quality tuition at Temple Christian College at a pre-set cost per half hour lesson. All tuition fees are charged to the school fee account at the beginning of each term and are payable by the end of week 2.
Families wishing to access private tuition will need to print and complete the Music Instrumental Tuition Form and return it to the Instrumental Music Coordinator at the school.
