Temple Christian College takes out a Student Accident Protection Plan Gold with Ambulance Extension cover for all students attending the Mile End Campus through AON Insurance.
Previously, our policy choice for this cover included the Unrestricted Gold premium options which provided additional cover for non-school events outside of school hours. Unfortunately, due to a 70% increase on insurance premiums, the ACS, Adelaide Christian School Leadership which covers Temple Christian College and Sunrise Christian Schools has made the decision to return to a ‘Restricted Gold’ policy for the 2023 school year.
What do these changes mean?
As per the Restricted Gold Insurance policy, students receive cover while they are engaged in school activities, including academic, cultural and sporting activities and travel to and from such activities.
Cover is automatically provided for exchange students without the need to notify the insurer or pay any additional premium.
Fee relief benefits is only payable in the situation where a parent/guardian dies of an accident, not sickness.
Costs associated with injury at school are met by the parents of the injured student and we encourage all enquiries to be directed to the insurance company AON on 1800 806 493.
Additional information regarding this policy is contained within the AON documents below:
Unfortunately, and despite our best efforts, accidents at School do occur. It is important that parents ensure that students report all accidents and injuries to the School First Aid Officer to make certain that events and injuries are adequately documented.
