Our Parents & Friends Support

Mile End Campus Year 7 – 12+

One of the most significant features of being a member of the Temple Christian College family is the sense of warm welcome and instant belonging that is found in this community. Our Parents & Friends and volunteeres are an integral support group to the work of the School as we educate our students, to be a people of influence in our Nation. Actively involved in many aspects of school life, our volunteering options offer a great opportunity for new parents and friends to take an active role in their student’s educational journey.

Thank you for your interest to volunteer at Temple Christian College. The services we offer through the Canteen, Administration Office, Special Events and the Parents and Friends Committee would not be the same without our valued volunteers.

We encourage any one from our Temple Christian College community to notify us of your level of interest in becoming a volunteer by completing the online expression of interest form below.

Parents & Friends Committee

Our Passion
We invite all our Temple Community to join with us, to encourage each other in grace and in truth, to fulfil the plans and purposes for the Glory of God. We do this simply by engaging in various College events throughout the year. We would love the opportunity to share your family’s journey and to learn from one another. Our prayers are for God’s favour to multiply over our whole Temple family, and His Love to be the example for others to follow.

Making a practical difference in the life of the school
The Parents & Friends have been actively involved in school life since the School’s inception in 1983. In the early days much of the early building and reshaping of the school grounds was done by parents, friends, staff and students. In recent times fundraising initiatives have ranged from the installation of the heaters in the ‘Plaza’ and the ‘Shed’ and refurbishing the Indoor Sports area. The very practical assistance of the Parents & Friends goes into projects that directly benefit the students of today and well into the future.

Always ready for new ideas
We would love to hear from our community of parents and friends with any ideas or questions you may have regarding the life of the school. We also encourage current parents to provide feedback on their experience of the school and to let us know of any matters they feel may need to be discussed at upcoming meetings. We look forward to hearing from you.

Volunteering

One of the major areas that the Parents & Friends contributes to the school is in the area of the canteen. Under the leadership of the Canteen & Catering Manager, this group supported by the tireless work of volunteers, runs the canteen throughout the full school year providing students with regular breakfast, recess and lunch meal options. This practical form of service helps volunteers get to know each other, the staff and is a great opportunity to experience firsthand the life of the school.

All parents and caregivers are welcome to volunteer their time within the canteen or administration office (as required) and will be either placed on a roster or contacted according to their availability.

If you are interested in assisting the school as a volunteer you will need to advise the school of your interest by completing the Volunteer Expression of Interest online form as per the link below.
