Music tuition is available to all students at Temple Christian College, both elective music students and non-music students and is provided by qualified private teachers. While all students in Year Levels 7 & 8 are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity, it is compulsory for all music elective students in Year Levels 9 through to 12 to study an instrument (at school or privately).
Instrumental & Vocal Programme
Instrumental/vocal lessons are a great way for your child to develop their musical skills, as well as strengthen their confidence, organisation and ability to work with others.
Instrumental lessons usually take place on a half hour rotation basis during the school day. Students are excused from class in order to attend a scheduled lesson. They are required to return to their appropriate class immediately after the instrumental lesson. Senior students are encouraged to have their lesson during a study period or lunchtime.
All instrumental staff are private instrumental teachers who will provide quality tuition at Temple Christian College with all tuition fees made payable direct to the relevant instrumental teacher.
Tuition is available across a number of instruments including:
Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet & Trombone
Violin, Cello, Double Bass, Guitar & Electric Bass
Drums & Percussion
Voice
Families wishing to access private tuition will need to print and complete the 2018 Music Instrumental Tuition Form and return it to the Instrumental Music Coordinator at the school.
