Our Orientation Process

Marion Middle School Year 7 - 9

This Orientation page and information contained within has been developed to provide all students and families new to Temple Christian College with access to key information that will greatly assist with the transition into a new school.

Preparing for Life at Temple Christian College

On behalf of all the team at Temple Christian College we’d like to extend a warm welcome and trust that your experiences with the Temple Community will be richly blessed. Orientation Day is a special event developed specifically for new students transitioning to Temple Christian College at the start of the 2024 school year for Year 7.

We are so excited to host both students and parents onsite for a special Orientation program.

This year, our Orientation Day for the Marion Middle School will be held at the school on Tuesday 31 October 2023 and will feature an enjoyable and educational program for sutdents and an information and Q&A session followed by morning tea for parents/caregivers as per the details below:

For Students – Orientation Program
Duration - 8:45 a.m. to 3:20 p.m.

 All new students attending Temple Christian College Marion in Year 7 in 2024 have been invited to attend our Orientation program on Tuesday 31 October, 2023.
 The official student program will commence at 8:45 a.m. and conclude at 3:20 p.m.
 Recess will be provided to all students, and the students will create their lunch in the Home Economics room as part of the program.
 Students are expected to wear their current school’s sport uniform.
 Students from Sunrise Marion can meet staff in the library at 8:45 a.m. Students new to the campus will be greeted at the front office on the day and shown up to the library. Here, all will be introduced to the program for the day.

Parents/Caregivers – Welcome, Information and Q & A Session
Duration 9:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

 Parents/Caregivers have been invited to attend for the morning of Orientation Day.
 This session will be held in the staff room. Parents will be welcome to come in for a coffee from the time they drop off their children.
 The welcome session will provide an introduction for new families joining the Temple Christian College community in 2024, along with an opportunity for interaction with other parents around a complimentary morning tea. There will be some key information given, with uniform and information technology being included topics, along with the chance to ask questions.

In addition to our Orientation Day program, we trust that all new students and families will gain valuable knowledge from the resources presented via the tabs below.

 

Completing the necessary forms
Prior to commencing a new school year at Temple Christian College, all new students transitioning to the Marion Middle School will be issued with a New Student Information Pack that will contain all of the necessary information and forms that need to be completed. Forms contained within this pack will need to be completed to the school by the due date marked, so that preparations can be finalised.

Obtaining the official School Uniform
All new students will be required to commence their new school year at Temple Christian College Marion Middle School with the correct school uniform.
The New Student Information Pack along with the Uniform Campus website page features extensive information along with the latest Uniform Price List and Uniform Shop trading days and times. Personal fitting appointments can be arranged with the School Uniform Shop Manager located at the Temple Christian College, Mile End Campus (Henley Beach Road) as per the contact details online.

2024 School Uniform Price List

Day 1 program for Tuesday 30 January 2024: 

  • Students should arrive to school by 8:35 a.m.
  • Textbooks and stationery will be issued during the respective lessons.
  • Students are to be dressed in their Formal Temple Christian College Summer Uniform which includes traditional black, leather, lace-up school shoes. The Blazer can be worn but is not required.
  • Students must ensure that they have their hat with them on the first day of school.

Special Note – Parents/guardians must advise the school via the Reporting Absences and or Late arrivals process as outlines within the Orientation Handbook or on the Campus website if the student is going to be absent or late on the first day of 2024.

Temple Christian College is a Year 7 to 12+ Christian, co-educational school operating over several campuses within the state. The Mile End Campus is located just under 4km from the city centre. The Paralowie campus is nestled in the heart of the northern suburbs and the new Marion Middle School is located within Sunrise Christian School Marion.
